Books have managed to transcend time. Regardless of the internet age, people still want to own books. There is something to be said about the feel and smell of a good book. If you are an avid book collector then setting up your own home library is a necessity.

Setting up your own home library is easy. Go to a public library and pay attention to how the books are numbered. There are so many options available to you. You can arrange your books by author, title or subject. You can separate fiction from non-fiction. Whatever the case, come up with your own numbering system to arrange your library. Record all of your books and the corresponding numbers into a database (an electronic database is easier). Also make sure to leave enough room on your bookshelf to add more books in the future. Also make sure that your numbering system leaves you with enough room for future entries. Label your bookshelf and line up your books in a neat and orderly fashion.

Take pride in your new home library. Stand out with a collection that will be the envy of others. More importantly, keep books alive in an electronic age where new generations can easily miss the tangible experience of owning a real genuine book.

If you love traveling or are planning your next big vacation, check out the book “Geography of Travel and Tourism” by authors Lloyd E. Hudman and Richard H. Jackson.

The first chapter of this book informs the reader of the elements of geography and the themes of geography. Then it moves into the second chapter which discusses the patterns and processes of world tourism. It goes on to define tourism for the reader and also speaks about the influence of tourism.

After introducing the reader to the basic knowledge and terms of geography and tourism, the book goes into discussing tourist destinations in each part of the world. Totaling over 500 pages, this book does not leave out anything. It dedicates a chapter to tourism and geography in North America. Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean are grouped together into a chapter. Next there is a chapter for South America, for Western Europe, for Northern Europe, and for Southern Europe. Then finally there is a chapter for Russia and the former countries of the Soviet Union, and one for the Middle East and North Africa.

What makes this book a great read is the fact that it does include geography with tourism, and that it manages to touch several cities in each location. So if either tourism or geography interest you, go pick up a copy of this quality book!

We’d like to thank Miss Sue Lang on this great article.

Award Winning Author Shares Four Simple Steps to Inner Peace

2010 Editor’s Choice for Best Inspirational Book (Allbooks Review) to be featured at the 2011 BookExpo America
Grand Rapids, MI (PRWEB) May 12, 2011

Some people have a tendency to fill their minds with negative thoughts and judgments, blaming outside forces for internal turmoil. Sometimes it seems almost impossible to see a negative outcome as something positive. But is it really that difficult to respond in a positive and compassionate way to all the negativity surrounding and pressuring the world today? Critically acclaimed author of business and inspiring books, John J. Murphy, shares how one can experience a life of inner peace and equanimity in the eternal now, despite circumstances. In Beyond Doubt, he offers a simple, practical, four-step model that forms “The Ring of Peace,” a tool anyone can use to cultivate peace and joy in everyday life.
Murphy invites readers to contemplate their own thoughts, actions, emotions, and choices. This book conveys the author’s powerful message of welcoming positive energy into one’s life rather than subconsciously resisting it. Readers learn that there will always be challenging circumstances, stressful dilemmas, and difficult situations that people would rather not face or meet head-on, but these outcomes exist for a reason. Beyond Doubt helps people understand these reasons and facilitate the release of tension, anxiety, grievances, hidden guilt, doubt, and negative feelings from their lives. This award-winning book – Allbooks Review Editor’s Choice 2010 Award for best inspirational book – teaches ordinary people how to experience extraordinary peace of mind and equanimity. The challenge is to overcome the resistance and self-imposed constraints that people allow into their minds.
Beyond Doubt helps readers to be in-Spirit and to be inspiring to others. They can achieve this by repeatedly following the four steps—“Let Be,” “Let Go,” “Let See,” “Let Flow,”—to true peace and grace.
This book will be featured at this year’s BookExpo America in New York City, NY on May 26-28, 2011. For more information on this book, log on to http://www.johnjmurphy.net.

Dot Dot Books is pleased to announce that Dana Rozier’s Natural Hawai’i: An Inquisitive Kid’s Guide was selected to receive Creative Child’s 2011 Book of the Year Award in the Educational Travel Books for Kids category.
Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) June 28, 2011
Dot Dot Books’ Natural Hawai’i: An Inquisitive Kid’s Guide by Dana Rozier was recently selected by parents, educators, and professionals to receive Creative Child’s 2011 Book of the Year Award in the Educational Travel Books for Kids category.
Once a year, over one hundred parents, educators, and professionals converge in Nevada to select outstanding products to receive Creative Child Awards. Creative Child Magazine’s Awards Program is unique in that the very people who purchase children’s products make up the review committee.
Rose Webb, volunteer at the Lahaina, Hawai’i Visitor’s Center expressed her thoughts on Natural Hawai’i. “The book is great! We sell various books about Hawaiian history and facts but Natural Hawai’i is one of the best I’ve seen. I even learned a couple of things I didn’t know!”
Natural Hawai’i: An Inquisitive Kid’s Guide features colorful photographs, uncommon facts, and informative sidebars. The knowledgeable field guide explores Hawai’i’s volcanoes, plants, and animals with an undertone of basic science. The book also teaches Hawaiian names and pronunciations, and presents intriguing facts about the state’s history, culture, and language.
Natural Hawai’i is available online and at local bookstores.

In case you love to read as a lot as I do, then you should take into account making your reading even more enjoyable by making your individual e book mark to hold your spot in your current favorite book. I began making my own guide marks just a few years ago and have become nearly hooked on it. Generally I take advantage of an ebook mark over and over, but often I will make a special e-book mark for each guide that I read. It offers me one thing to sit up for when I start a new e book and it retains me motivated to maintain entering into the guide and getting the pages turning.

Does making your personal e book mark seem a bit too inventive or inventive on your skills? If that’s the case, then read on. Know that your special ebook mark does not should impress anyone aside from you. The vital part in making an ebook mark is just that you just make it. It issues little if at all the standard or creativity of the e-book mark you make. One of the most obligatory elements in making a guide mark is to get pleasure from it. You and I both know that the last thing we need is yet one more factor in life that we do not enjoy. So enjoy your self! Don’t take the venture of creating e-book marks so severely that you just do not have fun. I guarentee that making e book marks will only final so long as your enjoyable lasts.

Gather concepts for nice e book marks from everywhere. Have a look at fabrics, journal advertisements, and even photographs. The extra concepts you gather, the higher your likelihood of making e book marks that you just truly enjoy. And do not let your self discount concepts just because they seem silly or too childlike. Typically the most simple concepts prove the best.

I have began making e-book marks that match the tone of the e book I will use the e book mark for. So, for example, a heavier novel could get a more serious, darkly colored e-book mark than say a light-hearted comedy I’m reading. I attempt to make my book marks match the feeling I am anticipating concerning the book.

Making e book marks will also be an incredible present to give friends and family that take pleasure in studying such as you do. Not everyone, even if they absolutely love reading, will take the time to make a book mark for themselves. So be an amazing buddy and make a book mark or for every of your studying friends. What a simple and great gift to give.
